Fascination Marchetti

Fascination – F. D. Marchetti

Fascination is such a beautiful song!! Ever since I started learning this wonderful music, I can’t get it out of my mind. It’s so wonderful to dream away and imagine a more beautiful world. And it’s perfect to dance as well! :-)

This song is in C major and is actually very easy to play. It can be played entirely in first position. I did shift at some points because it was indicated so in my sheet music and it helps with some of the string crossings and vibrato. It sounds warmer as well to play some passages on the D string instead of the A string. The way I played it, I used 1st, 3rd and 4th positions.

Lately I’ve been working to improve my vibrato. I’m happy I was able to use a bit more vibrato in this piece. I know I still have a long way to go but I’m really enjoying what I can play right now. This music just feels like me :-)

The sheet music and backing track I’ve used are from www.virtualsheetmusic.com. Let me know if you would like to play this piece too! Or if you do a recording too, I would love to see it. ;-)
