Kreutzer Etudes for ViolinRodolphe Kreutzer is a French violinist who lived from 1766 to 1831. He was also a teacher, composer and conductor. He composed 42 etudes or caprices for violin solo. In most editions the first etude is a slow and difficult etude. But starting with etude 2 all etudes are in logical pedagogic order from easier to more difficult. So usually one would start with etude 2 and learn the first one later on. I started with etude 2 too. :-) I will add other Kreutzer etudes I will learn in the future to this page.

Interesting resource with a short explanation about each etude: http://www.kreutzer42.com/the-etudes.
